What we collect

An anonymous identifier

When you use the screener, your browser generates a random identifier (a technical header called x-user-id) and keeps it in the browser's local storage — not a cookie. It is not derived from your name, email or any account, and it cannot identify you.

Your theme choice

If you switch between the light and dark theme, your choice is saved in the browser's local storage under the key ss-theme. It never leaves your device.

A usage log

Each call to the service is recorded in our internal telemetry: which feature was used, when, and through which channel (the website or ChatGPT). This helps us keep the service stable and decide what to improve. We never log what you search for or which filters you use.

What we never do

Data retention

Usage records are kept only as long as they are useful for service analytics. The data is anonymous and is not linked to you as a person.

Your choices

Clear your browser's site data at any time — the identifier is deleted and a fresh one is generated on your next visit. You can also write to us and we will delete the usage records tied to your identifier.

About this site

This site is a small static bundle. The pages run only first-party scripts (theme.js everywhere and screener.js on the homepage, which talks to our own API). Fonts are self-hosted, and there are no third-party scripts or trackers — nothing is loaded from anywhere else.
